Magazine research cont 2
This magazine is ALOT more like mine, it follows the conventions of a normal magazine by having the mast head placed at the top of the magazine, along with a picture of the main story artist and their name in big writing on top of that. It is also the only dance magazine that i could find out there that may be well known, it has quite an organised lay out in terms of where the other stories are placed on the magazine.

Media style model research cont
Similarities:-
•They both have a ‘main’ picture + story.
•Both have other headlines to attract a wider audience
•Both have a one line sentence at the top of the magazine to attract people.
•Both are dated and have a price
•Both have the ‘signature mast head’
Differences:-
•Both support different genres of music
•Q has a ‘organised’ layout. Whereas Kerrang has a ‘Organised mess’ layout.
•Kerrang uses more pictures on their front cover
•Bar codes + pricing etc are in different places.
This is very different
Genre: Pop music.
Target Audience: Teenagers, and young people.
Format: Set out to attract teenagers (all the pink colours and shapes and lots of photos of famous people.
Layout: lots of photos to attract a big audience, bright colours for young children so they don’t get bored and like the magazine.
Design: Pink, Photos of teenage celebrities, and bubble writing.
